Coming back to Wichita for a second year is Lane Bauer. The 22-year-old native of Anchorage, AK had a very solid rookie season, posting 37 points in 63 games for Wichita. 13 of his 37 points came on special teams, including a forward corps-high ten assists on the power-play. He also did the little things not compiled on a scoresheet, such as winning crucial faceoffs and blocking shots.

“He played in all situations, was consistent and reliable. His best performance came in the playoffs where he was a force on the PP and PK and was dominant in the face-off circle,” said Thunder head coach Malcolm Cameron. “We’re excited to have Lane back and know he will be a big piece of the puzzle this season.”

“When I think about coming back to Wichita, I feel pure excitement,” said Bauer. “It’s a great city and organization to play for. It also helps having a great group of guys and staff, which we had. I think I got the rookie jitters out of the way and I can’t wait to get started in the fall.”

The re-signing of Bauer now brings the total players signed to four for Wichita; team captain Dyson Stevenson; defensemen Jeremy Beaudry and Keoni Texeira are those who have been announced so far.
