WICHITA, KS – The Wichita Thunder announced this afternoon they will host an exhibition game at the Wichita Ice Center on October 8, 2016.
The Thunder will host the Missouri Mavericks, in a game that will begin at 7:05pm.
This will be the third time the Thunder and the Mavericks will face each other in exhibition play. The two teams played back-to-back games before the start of the 2009-10 season. Wichita won both games, claiming a 3-0 victory on October 9th and followed that up with a 3-2 shootout win on October 10th.
Both teams have seen changes during the offseason. The Thunder will be led by Malcolm Cameron, who enters his first season in the Air Capital, while Missouri hired John-Scott Dickson earlier this summer.
This is the only game for the Wichita Thunder in the 2016-17 exhibition season.
Tickets for the game are $10 each and can be bought up to the night of the game.
