ESTERO, FL– As the 2018 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic draws near, the ECHL announced Thursday that Florida Everblades goaltender Martin Ouellette has been selected to represent the ECHL’s South Division. The announcement comes one day after the netminder was named by the ECHL as the league’s Goaltender of the Week for December 27-31.
“I am very happy for Marty being named to the ECHL All-Star game and Goaltender of the Week honors,” said Everblades goaltending coach Josh Robinson. “Marty comes to the rink, puts the work in and does little things the right way every day. He had been great for us in net this season, these honors are well deserved.”
Ouellette, 26, leads all ECHL goaltenders with a 1.93 goals-against average, while his .927 save percentage ranks fourth overall. This is the second time Ouellette has received the Goaltender of the Week honor in his professional career.
