The Wichita Thunder announced the move most everyone in their fanbase had been hearing about for a while.

Theo Peckham is back in Thunder blue.

Peckham, 27, enters his ninth year as a pro and second stint in Wichita. A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, the 6-foot-2, 243-pound blueliner appeared in 26 games last year for the Thunder before heading over to Europe. The former third round draft pick (#75 overall) of the Edmonton Oilers in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft has racked up 969 penalty minutes and 73 points (18g, 55a) over his career. Peckham has appeared in 160 NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers while also making stops with the Oklahoma City Barons, Rockford IceHogs and Springfield Falcons of the AHL

To make room for Peckham, the team waived defenseman Ray Macias.
