WICHITA, Kan. – The Sin Bin is proud to announce the launch of a project that will give fans the chance to vote on which team logo is the best in all of minor league hockey. The competition will be a tournament-style format that starts on July 16 and runs through August 13.

The tournament field consists of the 32 best logos as chosen by a panel of experts: Phil Hecken from uni-watch.com, Tyler Earles from Earles Design, Alex from N2B Designs and The Sin Bin’s own Gear Guru Mark Grainda. The panel was tasked with selecting their top ten logos from current or defunct teams in the American Hockey League, ECHL, Southern Professional Hockey League, Central Hockey League and the second iteration of the International Hockey League.

“We’re excited to bring the fans this unique logo contest,” said Managing Editor Mike Campos. ‘Minor pro hockey has some amazing and distinctive logos, and we’re thrilled Phil, Tyler, Alex, and Mark took the time to participate in this and provide their favorite logos.”

Here is the schedule for voting:

First Round July 16-20
Second Round July 23-27
Quarterfinals July 30-August 1
Semifinals August 2-4
Finals August 6-10

The winner will be announced at Noon ET on Monday, August 13.

Fans will be able to vote through our website, as well as The Sin Bin app, which free to download in the iTunes and Google Play stores!

  1. Concerning your logo contest, no offense to your “experts”, but maybe they shouldn’t limit themselves to mainly the AHL. So many designs not appreciated because people don’t follow all the leagues.
