JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On Wednesday night, the Newfoundland Growlers faced off against the Jacksonville Icemen for the very first time.

While the Icemen had played the previous night, the Growlers came to visit having had a three-day rest and the momentum of an eight-game winning streak.

In a physical game between the two teams, the Icemen were able to give goaltender Mikhail Berdin his first professional career shutout, and end the Growlers winning streak with a 2-0 victory.
