Jacksonville, Fla – Saturday night saw the Jacksonville Icemen in round two of back-to-back home games against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. Having lost in Friday’s game, the Icemen switched back to their number one goaltender Mikhail Berdin for Saturday night’s game. As part of the Autism Awareness weekend, the Icemen sported themed jerseys, which were auctioned off after the game.
The Icemen came out strong and prevailed with a 5-1 victory over the Swamp Rabbits. Goaltender Mikhail Berdin made some amazing saves and has quickly become a fan favorite. He often salutes the crowd behind the net with his water bottle and has earned the nickname The Berdin Wall by Jacksonville Icemen Puckheads fan group.
