MACON, Ga. – The Birmingham Bulls visited the Macon Mayhem for game two of a home-and-home series. The Bulls looked to extend their SPHL record season opening winning streak to 12 games. Having defeated Macon the previous night, the Mayhem had additional motivation. The first period was a draw. The Bulls scored first, early in the second period. The Mayhem was able to find their offense and finished the second with a 2-1 lead. Macon increased their lead to 3 in the early stages of the third period. Birmingham put plenty of pucks on net but the comeback was foiled by Macon’s debuting goaltender Ian Sylves. The Mayhem snapped the Bulls winning streak and their own short lived losing streak. Macon dawned special cancer awareness jerseys for the event.
