DES MOINES, IA – The strong play continued for the Manitoba Moose as they won there second straight game and fourth out of their last five with a 3-2 win over the Iowa Wild. It was another close battle between these two teams but this time the Moose were on the winning end.
Connor Hellebuyck was the pipes for Manitoba and he was once again superb stopping 31 shots. He has now won his last five starts. He was named the games second star.
Manitoba was lead by Darik Angeli who notched his 1st career AHL goal and assist , he finished the game with a plus two and had 2 shots on goal to pick the games first star.
Brenden Kichton scored his 10th of the season and Patrice Cormier got his 14th on the power play to round out the Moose scoring.
Kitchton is now tied for 10th in defence man scoring in the AHL.
Iowa scored two goals in the third period by Zac Dalpe and Colton Beck to make things interesting but Manitoba escaped with the two points.
These two will play again for the final time on Friday night at Wells Fargo Arena.
