I don’t think I’ve been this excited about a schedule since the first year the Mallards were in the CHL and they had a ton of new opponents. This schedule is similar to that, with a number of “firsts” on the list. Here are some highlights:

  • October 16: Mallards @ Americans – Opening night, and the only visit to Allen all season
  • October 23: Oilers @ Mallards – Home opener
  • October 30: Mallards @ Admirals – First ever meeting
  • October 31:  Mallards @ Nailers – First ever meeting
  • November 4: Mavericks @ Mallards – The Mavs’ only visit the iWireless Center all season
  • November 7: Mallards @ Fuel – First ever meeting
  • November 11: Aces @ Mallards – First ever meeting
  • November 27: K-Wings @ Mallards – The first meeting between the K-Wings and Mallards since March 30, 2007. That’s a long time.
  • December 18 & 19: Nailers @ Mallards – The Nailers’ first visit to QC
  • January 2: Americans @ Mallards – The Americans’ only visit to QC all season
  • January 31: Mallards @ Walleye – First ever meeting
  • March 2: Grizzlies @ Mallards – First ever meeting
