MANCHESTER, N.H. – Rivalries are always fun, and the Monarchs and the Thunder have shown that, yet again this season.

The Manchester Monarchs and the Adirondack Thunder met for the fourth year in a row in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

With the Thunder having home-ice advantage, the Monarchs came out swinging, taking games 1 and 2 in Glens Falls, before returning home to win a third straight game.

Game four was a tight one, with the Thunder skating away with the 4-3 win over the Monarchs.

Saturday, April 20 was the series-clinching contest. The Monarchs opened up scoring, with the Thunder striking back soon after, but it wasn’t enough for Adirondack.  The Monarchs found their stride and came out with an impressive 7-1 win over the Thunder.
