ESTERO, FL –  The Florida Everblades have solidified their coaching staff for next season.

At a press conference Tuesday afternoon, the team introduced Brad Ralph as the team’s fifth coach in franchise history. Ralph, 35, is entering his seventh season behind the bench. In 328 regular-season games coached in the SPHL & ECHL, Ralph has accumulated a 203-98-27 record and made the playoffs every year he has coached. While in Idaho, he was a finalist for ECHL Coach of the Year and led the Pacific Division title in 2014-15.

Ralph coached the Kelowna Rockets of Canada’s Western Hockey League this past season, and led them to a 48-20-4 record and a defeat in the third round of the WHL playoffs. He left the job in May to “pursue other coaching opportunities.”

In addition to the naming of Ralph as head coach, Everblades General Manager and President Craig Brush named Tad O’Had as the team’s associate head coach. Brush had said O’Had was one of five finalists for the head coaching job.

The Everblades open their 2016-17 season at home on Friday, October 14 against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.
