For the third week in a row, there is a new team at the top of our ECHL Power Rankings. The Wichita Thunder assume the pole position, after a 2-0-0 week that saw them allow just two goals on 79 shots, en route to victories against the Tulsa Oilers & Kansas City Mavericks. The Thunder are the only 6-0-0 team in the ECHL and are one of three unbeaten teams remaining in the ECHL (Reading & South Carolina).

A new team to the top five, the Kalamazoo Wings, joins the party on the back of their 4-0-0-1 start to the campaign. Wheeling remains in the top-five, despite giving up four goals per game and being ranked last in the Eastern Conference on the penalty kill.

At the bottom, the Rapid City Rush crawled out of the cellar, moving up one spot to 26th. Taking their spot is the Jacksonville IceMen, who have just one point in their first three games.

At the conclusion of play each weekend, our writing team will rank all 27 ECHL teams, and the average of those rankings makes up the “Composite” ranking. Unlike rankings we have done in the past, you will now get to see how every ECHL writer voted. The rankings will debut every Tuesday at 1:30 pm ET/12:30 pm CT right here on The Sin Bin!
