WICHITA, Kan. – Another week, another chapter in the power struggle between the Cincinnati Cyclones and Florida Everblades in the ECHL Power 10.
The Cincinnati Cyclones reassume the pole position in our power rankings. The Cyclones are riding a seven-game unbeaten streak and have a 7-1-1-1 record in their last 10 games. The Cyclones continue to pace the Central Division by seven points over the Toledo Walleye.
Florida, meanwhile, had a minor blip in the Black Hills, losing to the Rush on a last-second goal by Justin Farnya. As we’ve mentioned several times, Florida and Cincinnati really are the class of the league and should be looked at as 1 and 1a.
The Newfoundland Growlers continue to be in the third position, despite riding an eight-game unbeaten streak. At the All-Star Break, the Growlers have a built a seven-point cushion in the ECHL’s North Division.
Here is a look at past rankings:
At the conclusion of play each weekend, our writing team will rank all 27 ECHL teams and the average of those rankings makes up the “Composite” ranking. Unlike rankings we have done in the past, you will now get to see how every ECHL writer voted.
