The ECHL announced Tuesday a list of critical dates for the 2015-16 season, which gets underway on October 16th.

This will be the 28th year for the league, which will have teams spanning from Alaska to Florida to southern Ontario.

Below are the dates:

Oct. 2015
1 Players may report to Training Camp
Training Camp Rosters due (3 p.m. ET)
2 First day of on-ice sessions
14 Opening Day Rosters due (3 p.m. ET)
16 28th ECHL Regular Season begins
Nov. 2015
1 Deadline for submission of ECHL Hall of Fame candidates
15 Active Rosters cut down from 21 to 20 (by 3 p.m. ET)
Dec. 2015
18 Christmas Waiver/Trade Freeze begins (5 p.m. ET)
23-25 Christmas Break (no games played)
26 Christmas Waiver/Trade Freeze ends (Noon ET)

22 Jersey Reversal Date

1 Any NHL/AHL Player bought out of contract after today may not appear on an ECHL Protected List
