WICHITA, Kan. - Out of all the divisions in the ECHL, the North has seen the greatest change this offseason, with one team moving out (Wheeling) and two more coming in.
After a regular season that saw the Worcester Railers dominate the Adirondack Thunder with a record of 8-2-2-0, it all came to an end Monday night. In the North Division semifinals, the Thunder had finally found a way to beat the Railers, finishing the series 4-2.
The Adirondack Thunder headed into Saturday's game five ahead 3-1 in their first-round series with the Worcester Railers. The Thunder had a perfect opportunity to end the series and move on to face the Manchester Monarchs in round two. Adirondack had won the last two contests and had all the momentum going into this one.
