WHEELING, W.V.- Teams always want to do well in every home game in a season, with the home opener and home finale being two of the biggest home dates on the calendar. Wheeling saw a large crowd pass through the turnstiles for the home finale, 4296 to be exact.
The Brampton Beast began Friday Night's contest with a tragic number of two, meaning any gain of two points by the Wheeling Nailers meant that they would be eliminated from the 2018 Kelly Cup Playoffs. However, it would be a tall task for the visitors from Canada to win in Wesbanco Arena, where the Nailers own a 19-11-2-0 record entering the game.
With just over two weeks remaining in the regular season, teams in every division have begun to officially punch their tickets into the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Every division, that is, except for the North.
