ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades captured their fourth straight victory after a weekend series against the Atlanta Gladiators this past weekend. The ‘Blades end the weekend on top of the South Division with a 4-0-0 record.
The ‘Blades opened their road trip with a Friday night 4-2 victory that sealed head coach Brad Ralph’s 300th career win.
On Friday night, Mitchell Heard scored twice, while Josiah Didier and Michael Kirkpatrick both notched a goal against Atlanta goaltender Matt Ginn.
Chase Witala and Luka Sandler notched the two tallies for Atlanta against ‘Blades netminder Martin Ouellette. Ouellette earned the win stopping 27 of the 29 shots faced, while he picked up the second star of the night.
On Saturday, a team effort lifted the ‘Blades to victory with goals from Nelson Armstrong, Clark Seymour, Joe Cox, Zack Kamrass, and Matt Berry.
Thomas Frazee scored the lone goal for Atlanta when he was able to beat ‘Blades goalie Callum Booth in 6:10 into the second.
The Everblades will return home to Germain Arena for their next series against the Indy Fuel starting on Wednesday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m.
