Brampton Beast Assistant Coach Phil Oreskovic announced his resignation as assistant coach of the team. Beast President and General Manager Cary Kaplan issued a statement through the team’s website this morning.
“On behalf of the entire Beast organization, we extend our thanks to Phil for his professionalism, dedication and commitment to the team,” said Kaplan. “We wish him the very best moving forward.”
Oreskovic, a Brampton native, was the third assistant coach in Beast history, being officially named to the post on March 4th, 2015. Prior to the hiring, Oreskovic suited up for 14 games on the Beast blueline before sustaining a season-ending injury in early December.
On April 20th, the organization announced the hiring of Peter Goulet as assistant coach. Last week, former Kalamazoo Wings assistant Colin Chaulk was introduced as the organization’s third head coach.
