WICHITA, KS – We have an update on the condition of linesman Erik Contino, who left the Atlanta/Allen game late in the third period Wednesday night.
The game was halted for about 15 minutes while medical staffs for both teams worked to stabilize Contino before taking him off the ice on a stretcher.
ECHL Vice President of Hockey Operations Joe Ernst tells The Sin Bin that Contino has a broken leg and an ankle injury. Surgery is expected next week and there is no timetable for his return.
We wish Contino the very best in his recovery and hope to see him back on the lines again soon!
