HARTFORD, CT – The Wolf Pack along announced six home dates for the 2017-18 campaign, their 21st as members of the American Hockey League.
The Wolf Pack will have their home opener at the XL Center on Friday, October 6. The remaining five dates that were announced will be Saturday games on November 4, December 23, January 27, February 3, and March 31.
According to hockeydb.com, the average attendance for the Wolf Pack during the 2016-17 year was 4,238 per game. They ranked 24th overall in the AHL attendance.
The Wolf Pack are coming off a tough 20th anniversary season. They finished last in the Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference with a record 24-46-4-2 for 54 points, scored the fewest goals (194) and gave up the most goals in the Eastern Conference (280). They scored 194 goals and gave 280 goals.
Nicklas Jensen led the team in goals with 32 and Taylor Beck led in points with 66.
The Wolf Pack hope to turn things around this year and make a run at the Calder Cup Playoffs, after missing them for the second year in a row. Their last appearance came during the 2014-15 season when they were eliminated by the Manchester Monarchs in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Wolf Pack are offering fan experience packages with these six home games already announced which includes singing the National Anthem and God Bless America and also the opportunity for amateur teams to play at the XL Center.
The 2017-18 Wolf Pack schedule along with start times will be released by the American Hockey League later this summer.
