Wichita Thunder head coach Kevin McClelland has done some tinkering with the defensive corps in the last couple of days.
On Monday, the team released rugged defenseman Andrew Darrigo and today signed defenseman Donnie Harris to a contract.
Harris served as a steady defenseman during his three seasons with the Evansville IceMen. In 145 games with the team, Harris collected 20 points and was -11 with the team. Last season was Harris’ best as a pro, when he played in 61 games, scored 8 points and was a +3 .
Harris has been put on reserve, so its not immediately known when he will join the Thunder’s line-up.
The Thunder return to action with a weekend home-and-home series against the Missouri Mavericks.
