The Tulsa Oilers announced the re-signing of three players from 2014-15, welcoming back Eric Tallent, Justin Mansfield, and Brady Ramsay.
For Ramsay, it brings him back with a former coach as Jason Christie takes the reigns of the Oilers this season. Ramsay played for Christie last season in Ontario until Ramsay later made the move to Tulsa. In 13 games with the Ontario Reign last season, Ramsay scored five points. Ramsay later played 28 games for the Oilers, netting six goals and adding two assists (eight total points) in his rookie campaign.
Eric Tallent returns for his third season with the Oilers. The 29-year-old defenseman appeared in 33 games for Tulsa last season, scoring 12 points, while posting a +18 rating to lead all Oilers defensemen. Adding his +25 from the previous season, Tallent holds a +43 rating all-time in an Oilers uniform.
Justin Mansfield will begin his professional career this season with the Oilers after signing an Amateur Try-Out contract to finish out last season. In 11 games with Tulsa, Mansfield posted one assist and added 10 PIM. Mansfield finished out his college career at Merrimack College, scoring nine points in 36 games with the Warriors.
These three signings bring the Oilers roster to nine announced players as we move into the final month of the off-season.
