TOLEDO, OH — On Tuesday afternoon, the Toledo Walleye released its home schedule for their 9th season as the Walleye in the ECHL.

The 2017-2018 home schedule kicks off against the Quad City Mallards, a team Toledo only has played three times in franchise history. Per usual, Toledo will have it’s school celebration games (10:30 am start games) with one in November and December both against rival the Fort Wayne Komets. On Saturday, February 11, the Wichita Thunder will visit the Toledo Walleye for the first time in franchise history.

Another interesting note to Toledo schedule is the mixture of opponents. Toledo only plays teams the Kalamazoo Wings four times or the Brampton Beast two times, two teams Toledo played more regularly this year at home. Instead on the home schedule, Toledo plays teams like the South Carolina Stingrays twice (first time since the classic 2015 playoff series), two games against the Kansas City Mavericks (their first visit since 2015), Manchester (first visit for them since 2016) and four games against the Cincinnati Cyclones (a team that only traveled to Toledo once this year).

Toledo home schedule based on opponents:

Quad City- Three games

Kalamazoo- Four games

Wheeling- Four games

Fort Wayne- Four games

Cincinnati- Four games

Indy- Three games

Tulsa- One game

Atlanta- Three games

Manchester- One game
