GLENS FALLS, NY – After dropping the first two games of their North Division Semifinal series to Manchester, the Adirondack Thunder returned home for, potentially, the final five games of the series Tuesday night.

The Monarchs went 1-for-8 on the power play and fell to the Adirondack Thunder in Game 3 of the North Division Semifinals, 3-1, Tuesday night at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

Alex Wall got the Thunder on the board early in the second period when Dennis Kravchenko setup Wall with a pass to the left side. Wall took a one-timer and beat Monarchs goaltender Sam Brittain to go up 1-0.

The Thunder extended their lead a few minutes later when Kravchenko was able to put in the snap shot over the glove of Brittain to make it a 2-0 lead.

The Thunder gave themselves insurance in the third period. Gunnar Hughes took the puck from the right side and fired a shot that went by Brittain to go up 3-0.

The Monarchs would get on the board late in regulation with 22.2 seconds left. David Kolomatis sent in a wrist shot past Thunder goaltender J.P. Anderson to make it 3-1.

Game four between these two teams in the North Division Semifinals will be held on Thursday at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The puck will drop at 7:00 P.M.

NOTES: The ECHL announced on Monday that Monarchs Tony Turgeon was suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount. Turgeon received a match penalty and a game misconduct in game two on Saturday night. Turgeon missed Tuesday night’s matchup against the Thunder.
