LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – Today, The Sin Bin is proud to announce many additions to our writing and photography team for the coming season, and beyond.

When the 2017-18 hockey season starts, The Sin Bin will have representation in over half of all minor league hockey markets in North America, after starting with just six writers when the site launched in March 2015.

“One of our long-term goals when we launched the site, was to have representation in every minor pro market in North America. However, we always wanted to focus on quality over quantity,” says site owner Joe Rozycki. “With the additions we’ve made, we have stayed true to our values, bringing in talented writers and photographers to new markets, but also expanding our coverage in markets we currently serve.”

“Team Sin Bin continues to grow, which is great, but what’s even more important is that we continue to add people who love the game of hockey, and share our vision for what TheSinBin.net can and will become,” Rozycki added.

Here is a rundown of the new additions to #TeamSinBin for the 2017-18 season.

MANAGEMENT STAFF

The Sin Bin’s management team has been filled out, with the additions of Joe Zufelt as Social Media Editor and Andrew Gallant as American Hockey League Editor. Both Joe & Andrew bring experience in minor league sports to our site.

“Joe and Andrew have been key contributors in helping to shape the direction of our site,” Rozycki said. “It was an easy decision to offer them both editorial positions, and we are thrilled that they have accepted to take on such important roles among our management team. Our AHL coverage and social media presence will blossom and thrive under their leadership.”

LEAD EDITORIALIST

The Sin Bin is proud to add Zach Courter to the writing staff as the lead editorialist.

“I’m excited to join The Sin Bin!” Courter said. “I’ve had a long-standing relationship with Joe (Rozycki) and finally took the plunge to help expand the site. The work that the writers, photographers, and staff put into The Sin Bin made this an easy decision. I’m looking forward to bringing my opinionated pieces to the site and giving readers a different angle on what’s happening across minor pro hockey!”

Zach was the co-owner of Minor League Hockey Report, a site which won the 2013-14 Central Hockey League Media Services Award, an honor that was voted on by the league’s media representatives.

“I am thrilled to be working with Zach again!” says The Sin Bin’s Managing Editor, Matthew Harding. “With Zach in an editorial role, it finally gives The Sin Bin something that has been lacking since we launched, an independent and unabashed look at minor league hockey. I think our readers will come to appreciate Zach’s views on the game and we look forward to a hearty and vigorous debate about the issues.”

In addition to Zach’s role as the site’s lead editorialist, he will be working with Matthew Harding on The Sin Bin Pregame Show and various Wichita Thunder hockey broadcasts throughout the 2017-18 season.
