The Kansas City Mavericks announced another round of player signings on Wednesday, and continued to add youth and depth to their offensive unit. Forward Matt Robertson returns for his first full season in a Mavericks sweater, joined by rookie forward Eric Freschi.
Robertson returns to the Mavericks after spending the majority of his rookie campaign in Independence. Robertson made his professional debut with the Reading Royals before joining the Mavericks for 28 contests. He registered 13 points (6g,7a) for the Mavericks and continued to blossom down the stretch when given additional ice time. Armed with a quick, accurate, powerful shot, Robertson has the ability to blossom in his first full professional season.
Freschi joins the Mavericks pre-season roster after spending the previous four years at Cornell University. In 126 career collegiate contest for the Big Red, Freschi tallied 30 points (9g,21a). The 5-11, 194lb native of Bloomington, Minnesota will look to crack head coach John-Scott Dickson‘s roster for opening night in Tulsa.
