The Bakersfield Condors and San Diego Gulls did not take long to establish a rivalry, as the teams had a line brawl during the middle stages of the third period Saturday evening.
Up until the brawl, the game was physical and chippy, with several roughing calls assessed to both sides. The powder keg blew up though at the 8:51 mark of the third, when Harry Zolnierczyk and Andrew Miller were in a battle near Bakersfield goalie Laurent Brossoit, who froze play, but the battle continued.

Here is the penalty breakdown from the game and incident.
The Condors received four game misconducts (Kessey, LaLeggia, Moroz and Winquist) as well as a two minute penalty for roughing to David Musil in the altercations. San Diego’s bench was diminished to only nine while the Bakersfield bench to 10. The referee in Saturday night’s game was Jake Brenk.
