Elmira, NY – The Jackals ended their final road trip of the season on the opposite side of the spectrum, dropping all three games to Adirondack and Manchester.
One of the few bright spots of the weekend was Davis Vandane who’s currently on a three-game point streak. Vandane scored three goals in the last three games, all of them coming on the power play. Rookies Perry D’Arrisso and Anthony Stefano both scored their first professional goals this past weekend.
The team continued to struggle to keep up with Adirondack and Manchester, falling behind early on Friday and Saturday, while on Sunday struggling to keep the early 1 – 0 lead after the first period.
On Monday, the team suspended forward Sebastien Sylvestre for an internal matter and he’s expected to be done for the season. Sylvestre played in 64 games this season with the team, scoring 23 goals, 30 assists, with a -35 rating.
The Jackals also signed forward Anthony Stefano to a standard player contract. This is an upgrade for Stefano who signed with the Jackals on March 26th on a tryout deal. In three games, Stefano registered a goal and assist.
