The Evansville IceMen announced the signing of Robin Soudek and Michael Trebish to the team’s training camp roster today.
24-year-old winger Robin Soudek returns to Evansville after playing in 33 games for the IceMen in 2014-15 following a trade from the Rapid City Rush. The native of Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic contributed eight goals and ten assists with a minus-14 plus/minus rating in Evansville. Before the trade, Soudek scored six goals and added nine assists in 20 games for the Rush. He started the season with the Stockton Thunder, where he appeared in nine games before heading to Rapid City. In 2013-14, the 5’11, 194 lbs forward briefly skated for the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL, where he scored one goal in three games.
An offseason trade brought defenseman Michael Trebish to the IceMen from the Wichita Thunder, where he spent all of last season. The 26-year-old from Yorkton, Saskatchewan tallied one goal and eight assists in 70 games for the Thunder in 2014-15. Trebish previously played two seasons in the CHL, most recently for the Arizona Sundogs in 2013-14 and played NCAA hockey from 2008-12 for Ferris State Univeristy in Big Rapids, Michigan. The 5’11, 180 lbs defenseman is not afraid to mix it up. He had 173 penalty minutes in Wichita last season.
